The General Directorate of Meteorology expects a heatwave from Friday to Sunday, and thunderstorms with hail and wind gusts today, Friday, in a number of regions of the Kingdom.
The Directorate explained, in an "orange" alert bulletin, that a heatwave is expected from today, Friday, until next Sunday, with temperatures ranging between 36 and 40 degrees, in the prefectures and provinces of Taroudant, Oued Ed-Dahab, Smara, Boujdour, Laayoune, and Aousserd.
Thunderstorms (from 20 to 30 mm) accompanied by hail and wind gusts are also expected today, Friday, from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, in the prefectures and provinces of Al Haouz, Ifrane, Azilal, Rehamna, Boulemane, Marrakech, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Khenifra, Chichaoua, and Sefrou.
